Trinidad-Hopkins go on a four-day tour to promote upcoming fight

June 12, 2001 -- Puerto Rican WBA middleweight champion, Felix “Tito” Trinidad and Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins will go on a four-city tour to promote their upcoming middleweight championship fight on September 15th at Madison Square Garden in NYC.

Trinidad earned his spot in the finals by knocking out William Joppy (TKO 5) on May 12th to gain the WBA middleweight title giving him the right to face Hopkins. 

Hopkins reached the finals by defeating Keith Holmes on April 14th (unanimous decision) which added the WBC belt to his IBF title. 

The Trinidad-Hopkins winner will be heralded as the first undisputed middleweight champion since Marvelous Marvin Hagler held the prestigious title 15 years ago.

Monday, July 9th: 12:00PM -- Felix Trinidad and Bernard Hopkins will be at BRYANT PARK, NYC for a press conference.  Open to the Public. 6th avenue between 42nd and 41st street.

Tuesday, July 10th: 9:AM -- Both fighters will be in CITY HALL - DILWORTH PLAZA in PHILADELPHIA.

Tuesday, July 10th: 5:00PM -- Both fighters will be at TINA HILLS PAVILLION at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd. Downtown Miami.

Wednesday, July 11th: -- Open press conference in PUERTO RICO at the Roberto Clemente coliseum in Bayamon.
